Transforming the Farm: Progress and Exciting Plans Ahead!

Expanding the Farm: New Developments Unfold

Things are getting better and better every day here at the farm! We’ve been working tirelessly to make significant improvements, and as you can see, we’re expanding the dryland by adding filling materials. Just yesterday, I was thrilled to see the payloader we rented finally push the filling materials to expand our dry field. This means that we have extended up to the swampy area, creating enough space for parking and other future developments.

We are getting closer to our dream: starting our very own Café Ship. It’s already lit up at night and looks beautiful. This café will soon become a hub where you can relax, enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee, and take in the serene surroundings of our farm.

Building the Perfect Kitchen for Café Ship

Our kitchen is also coming together nicely! I’m standing here at the counter, which will serve as our coffee bar. Here, we’ll brew delicious coffee and prepare delightful treats for our guests. With the help of some friends in the coffee business, who have generously offered their expertise, we’re on the right path to making this a wonderful place.

We’ve set up a washing area for our dishes, and there will be a display area for our delicacies. There’s also a toilet and a dirty kitchen at the back, making the setup more functional and ready for our soft opening in October.

Making Tough Decisions for the Farm’s Future

Now, let me show you one of the toughest decisions I’ve been contemplating. We have a beautiful papaya tree right here, filled with ripe fruits. As much as I want to keep it, we may need to cut it down to clear the field. However, I’m thinking of planting another papaya tree in another section of the farm.

Papaya leaves are very beneficial, especially as a natural dewormer for our ducks and chickens. You can see our animals happily munching on them because they instinctively know these leaves provide essential nutrients. Papayas are incredibly versatile; they help us keep our animals healthy and contribute to sustainable farming practices.

Expanding for Growth: New Parking Lot and Goat Delicacies

We’re also developing a new parking lot area that will be completed between August and September. As mentioned earlier, we aim for a soft opening of our café in October, and everyone is invited! Not only will we serve fresh coffee, but we’re also planning to offer unique goat delicacies, such as Papaitan and goat adobo, which are popular local dishes.

It’s incredible to see these plans materializing much faster than expected. Two years ago, we were just dreaming about this. Initially, I thought it would take four to five years, but God has been so good to us, enabling us to reach these milestones much sooner than anticipated.

A Rainbow of Hope: Reflecting on God’s Blessings

Just look at that rainbow in the sky! 🌈 It reminds me of God’s promises and favor to mankind. It’s a testament to His love and goodness. As we continue to develop this farm, I am constantly reminded of His grace and how He has blessed this journey.
