Good morning and welcome back to Dexter’s World channel! Today, we have an exciting update for you, as we explore the latest developments on our farm and share some tips and tricks for sustainable farming and animal care.

Rabbit Breeding and Cage Design

We are thrilled to announce that we have successfully added a new rabbit cage designed specifically for breeders. Our goal is to raise more than 100 breeder rabbits to eventually produce thousands of rabbits to offer to our customers. The new cage is spacious and allows our rabbits to thrive.

Rabbit Diet: The Power of Grasses and Legumes

Our rabbits are growing bigger and healthier, thanks to a diet rich in grasses, water spinach, and cover crops. We’ve learned that feeding rabbits pure grasses and legumes is beneficial for their health, and we have decided to stay away from commercial pellets to cut costs. This approach aligns with our vision of becoming self-sufficient and utilizing the resources available in our surroundings.

New Developments and Future Plans

We are constantly working on improving our farm, and we have several projects underway. Our latest endeavor is developing a new rabbit coop made from a repurposed old quail coop. This coop features nine compartments spread across three layers. Stay tuned for future vlogs where we will share the details of this project, including the breeding mechanics and processes.

Feeding Time: A Delightful Chaos

Join us as we feed our ducks and love birds, a favorite activity for our farm visitors. We intentionally withheld food for this video to show how eager and lively our birds are during feeding time. Witness the chaos and joy as they dive in for their meal.

Raising Chickens and Ducks

Our farm is also home to a variety of chickens and ducks, many of which have started laying eggs. We are blessed with numerous eggs, and some birds have even started incubating them. Raising these birds not only provides us with fresh produce but also offers entertainment and joy to our visitors.
