Choosing the Best Breeder Mollies

Breeding Mollies has always been a wonderful experience for me. They are an ideal choice of live bearing fish. For the most part, mollies are very easy to breed and a single molly can produce over a hundred babies. Aside from that, they also come in a variety of colors, and work well with a wide community of other fish. Breeding is made even more wonderful because, as fish keeper, you can choose the colors of the babies by making the best pair of breeders.

Choosing the best breeders

Preparing for breeding includes segregating the breeders according to their colors. I find this important to do so to make sure the desired color of babies will be attained.

So the process we implored includes choosing the best breeders out of the hundreds of them in the tank. Secondly, we segregate them according to their colors. Thirdly, we put them in a separate tank for the meantime.

Breeding mollies is so easy in such a way that it needs not any human intervention unlike egg-laying bearers. We just have to make sure that male mollies put in the breeding tank will not outnumber the females and we know when to remove them from the breeding tank or else they won’t stop chasing the females which will also cause death to females. It is important to provide a place for babies to hide such as live plants.
