Reflecting on the Past and Embracing a New Future at Dexter’s World Farm
Hi guys! It’s a beautiful day once again, and welcome back to Dexter’s World Channel! 🌞
Revisiting the Old Farm: A Journey Down Memory Lane
Many of you might recognize where I’m standing today – this is the old farm where our journey began. This place holds so many precious memories, and it’s where we built the foundation of our channel, which now has nearly 2 million subscribers. 🎉 Here, we established a thriving fish pond, raised chickens in poultry houses, and cared for many goats and even an ostrich! We also had various breeding coops and a mud pond that teemed with fish.
However, life brought unexpected changes. We recently received notice from the government that this property is now designated for the new Sanga International Airport. It’s hard to leave behind a place that has been so integral to our growth, but I believe that every ending opens the door to a new beginning. Thankfully, God has blessed us with a new property close to home, and today, I want to take you on a journey from the old to the new, showing you how we’re turning challenges into opportunities.
Preserving the Legacy: Moving On from the Old Farm
As we walk through the old farm, you might remember this large cage – it was home to our beloved snake, Ariana. Sadly, Ariana is no longer with us, but I’m planning to repurpose this cage for new pets on our new farm. The cage is massive, and I’m figuring out the best way to transport it, perhaps by hiring a big truck. If you have suggestions, I’d love to hear them! 🐍
We’re dismantling other structures, like the beautiful cages we built for our African lovebirds and parrots. These were some of the best enclosures I ever created, and I’m excited to improve and recycle these materials for our new farm. Nothing goes to waste here – we’re all about sustainability and making the most out of what we have!
A Bittersweet Farewell to the Mud Pond
Remember the mud pond where we harvested thousands of Japanese koi, goldfish, and catfish? Now, it looks abandoned, but the memories of our hard work here are still fresh in my heart. From digging the deep well for 80,000 pesos to installing a water system with perfect pH levels for breeding, this place was once a vibrant hub of activity. It’s a bit sad to see it now, knowing that soon it will be transformed into a runway for the new airport.
But even in this loss, there is hope. We are transferring our passion and energy to our new farm, which offers endless possibilities for growth and innovation.
Embracing New Beginnings: The New Farm
The new farm is a blank canvas, and we’re excited to bring it to life. We’ve started laying out plans for a new sheep house, modern irrigation systems, and efficient crop layouts. We are committed to implementing sustainable farming practices that align with our dreams. 🌿
The views from the new property are stunning, and the soil quality is excellent, thanks to the filling materials we’ve added to support our future greenhouse. We’re working tirelessly to get everything ready, and I’m thrilled with the progress so far. This is not just a new farm; it’s a fresh start, a chance to build something even more extraordinary.
Our Vision for the Future
Looking ahead, we have big plans! We aim to introduce innovative farming techniques, explore organic options, and even create an educational area where we can share our knowledge and passion with others. I’m excited to bring you along on this journey with more in-depth videos showcasing our progress, challenges, and successes. 🚜
Your support and encouragement have been incredible. Your comments, messages, and likes have motivated us during this transition, proving that a strong community can lift each other up even in challenging times.
Moving Forward with Purpose
I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, and with our new farm, we have another horizon of hope. Our new boat house looks fantastic, and we’re also setting up a new water system and goat house. In the future, you’ll be able to drop by, enjoy a cup of coffee, and join me in feeding the animals to experience the real excitement of being a true farmer.
