The ducks, while charming co-inhabitants, had unintentionally compromised the pond’s structure. Their fervor for the dykes’ grasses led to a decision: it was time for a mega improvement.
Through meticulous planning and execution, we’ve reinforced the pond’s structure with layers of hollow blocks and deep-set posts, ensuring its resilience against the robust volume of water. Our vision extends beyond mere structural integrity; we aspire to transform this space into a landscaped marvel, a serene haven that seamlessly blends with the natural beauty of our farm.

Plans are underway to introduce NEPA huts and convert our boathouse into a cozy coffee house, inviting guests to immerse in the serene beauty of Dexter’s World.

Our duck population is flourishing, laying eggs across every corner of the farm. While this abundance is a sign of a thriving community, it also presents challenges. The ducks’ instinctive search for nesting sites led them to repurpose intended plant boxes, laying eggs that, due to unforeseen circumstances, could not hatch. Addressing this, we’ve improvised nesting boxes filled with dry hay, providing a safer environment for them to lay their eggs, ensuring the continuation of life on the farm.

The collaboration between a mother duck and a goose, incubating eggs side by side, has been a heartwarming sight. Their joint effort resulted in the hatching of numerous ducklings, a testament to the harmonious coexistence of different species and the unexpected miracles that unfold on our farm.
